"Hosts Tanya & George were in touch and making sure we had everything we needed before we even arrived at Tomatin. The lodge itself is in the most idyllic setting and was the perfect spot to relax, disconnect from technology and just spend time as a family. We feel it was a really lucky find and we have already booked our return visit!"

"Loved Turin Nurin so much we didn't want to leave. So peaceful with wonderful scenery and amazing wildlife. Each evening we had a family of red deer sitting on the lawn and every morning we were visited by a pheasant called Felix who liked to eat my granola. The cottage was very clean with all the facilities and equipment you could ever need. The village is quiet but has a little shop with all essentials and a cafe that sells lovely cakes. So much to see and do in the Cairngorms. Would highly recommend. Can't wait to return.."

"Beautiful, clean, well equipped and peaceful place for a holiday with deer and owls frequent visitors to the huge garden (Turin Nurin has it's own stream too which is lovely and shallow). We loved it. Our dog loved it too. Plenty to do in the area and further afield. We will absolutely be booking again!"

"Wonderful cottage in secluded rural setting. Loved seeing the red squirrels in the garden and the red deer on the estate. Beds comfortable and good heating. Would love to come back but I’ve noticed the price has gone up significantly! Either way, lovely place! A wildlife photographers dream location."

"Beautifully laid out cottage, it was our home from home for a week. Its just off of the A9 close to Aviemore and Inverness. We were able to travel to some fantastic places for photo'ing. There is a heard of Red Deer that we were lucky enough o see most evenings. The cottage was well laid out and very comfortable, we will be looking to book again soon."

"This was the best holiday we have had in a very long time. The cottage was in the most beautiful location surrounded by woodland with just the sounds of the water, birds and wind. My children were so excited to see the deers and bunnies everywhere and had fun walking up and down the little stream at the back of the cottage. The beds were comfortable, bathrooms clean and we had everything we needed to feel at home. Perfect cottage! Perfect holiday! We will be booking this place again in the future. Thank you to Tanya and George who have thought about every little thing that makes this place so special."

"We had a fantastic week. The location of this cottage is perfect. The setting is fabulous being remote but not to far away from everything you want and need. The cottage was lovely and clean and warm when we arrived."

"Excellent all round. Perfect family holiday. Will definitely will be back. Honestly the best holiday because of the cottage and location in a while. Just a tiny note re utility room, would be an amazing drying room. Tumble dryer great but be great to have towel radiators and winter dykes. Would love if fridge & dishwasher were in the kitchen, plenty of room, would be so much more convenient. WiFi sometimes not great. Overall fantastic. Owners thought of almost everything. Thank you."

"Second stay and again we were not disappointed. Stunning, secluded cottage yet only 16 miles from Inverness. Retail park even closer if people don't want to drive into the city. Lots of wildlife, golden eagles, kites, heron, rabbits, stoats, deer and wild goats."

"Very good location for walking and exploring the area and touring distilleries within the hour drive radius; very comfortable beds, well equipped to modern standards; very spacious for 4 people; rich in watching wildlife at the door step: we saw pheasant on patio; deer at night coming to the stream; spotted an osprey flying over the trees at the higher ground; stout chasing young rabbit and lots of bird life."

"An ideal “home from home” for anyone looking to book a staycation. Communication with George & Tanya was straightforward and prompt. I had requested a high chair & travel cot for our little one, both requests were met without any fuss. Instructions for how to access the property were sent when advised. Tomatin Village is the perfect location for anyone wishing to visit Aviemore and/or Inverness. We were able to cover both with ease. The house was spotless and set up to ensure you can relax and feel at home from the moment you walk in the door. We would highly recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Thank you again for a wonderful stay!"

"A fantastic property and fantastic hosts. We all felt at home as soon as we walked through the door. The house was spacious, spotlessly clean, very nicely decorated and the facilities went above and beyond. The property is perfectly located between Aviemore and Inverness allowing us to explore both and visit many local attractions. We will definitely visit the area again and would love to stay here again when we do."

"A very clean and welcoming house, comfortable beds and met all our expectations. A beautiful location if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle, and amazing star views at night. Very handy as it is close to both Inverness and Aviemore. George and Tanya were both 1st class, answered any queries quickly (not that there were many!) There is a lovely village centre where you will get a very warm welcome and a brill cuppa! Definitely hope to visit again soon."

"I found this place to be very clean, comfortable, and perfectly sized for the amount of people we had. The bathroom and shower was excellent. You could tell that George made sure that the house is very clean. Furthermore, they clearly explained the area. I honestly think this place is a bargain. I am looking forward to staying here again one day."
