Tanya and George fell in love with Tomatin in the early 2000's with the purchase of a piece of commercial woodland affectionately known as Distillery Wood. Their vision for the land was sealed when the ruins of Turin Nurin cottage were stumbled across deep in what was then a mature forest; to breathe new life into the land and welcome visitors from afar to revel in the beauty of the Strathdearn Valley.

In the last two decades, the land has undergone a transformation with the felling of the forest making way for sweeping walking routes and stunning vistas. The replanting of the land is focused on biodiversity with native woodland species reinstated and wildlife rebounding like never before. 

 

Meanwhile, the centre of the village has seen the development of Mill View - a collection of semi-rural homes bringing the heart of the village to life.
